Jenny and Bruce Wooster have been growing high-quality produce on community farms for 10 years. In the spring of 2006,
we moved with our daughter to this farm in Winchester, New Hampshire. The farm is a lovely 71-acre parcel of prime cropland, woods, and a stream, located half a mile from the Connecticut River and with views of nearby hills in Massachusetts and Vermont. Albert and Judy Hudson, with their two daughters, managed dairy cows here for 30 years. Now retired and living next door, the Hudson's have passed the farm on to us, expecting that we will continue to contribute well to the land, the infrastructure, and the community.
Our growing practices are rooted in sustainable farming methods for our environment, fair working conditions for the farm crew, and sustainable methods that benefit all of us. We use no herbicide, chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides. We may apply for Organic Certification with USDA when our land becomes eligible in 2009. In the interest of local community and economy, we hope to talk with you, to show you what we do, and to feed you well. Come on and visit!
